More writing does not make you a better writer - only reading does that. But writing can help thinking, problem solving and make you smarter. The method is not ChatGPT …. It is revision.
Inspired by one of the wonderful crafts that @quinns_arte creates, we came up with this adaptable presentation to drill translation on the topic of social media & tech. RT/comment for the free download link 😊 #mfltwitterati#spanishgcse
@lazlothebuzz @slimfast965 OK I love you @lazlothebuzz but this picture of your son made me feel like I was 90. Been listening to you since I was in high-school ❤💛
@Prof_F_Henshaw Teachers no longer need time to get ready. Last two years we got 2+ days for sure. Apparently I can magically find time outside if contract time to get ready. And the problem is I DID my own time bc it was worth it for my peace of mind, but not enough.
@Prof_F_Henshaw I left work Friday frustrated and angry at only being given ONE out of 5 work days to actually work in the classrooms. Every other moment was in meetings. But somehow I should have had time to check IEPs 504s etc before students showed up. Apparently COVID is over so that means
@mrs_melevans My favorite part of student teaching was when all of my other friends going paid internships or adults who did paid internships asked me how much i was getting paid to student teach. 😂😂 Instead students pay extra for it. 😭😫 I know that cooperating teacher does a lot bit still
And reading in any language counts towards this improvement . Another reason to keep filling out those grants to get more books for my Spa ish FVR library. ❤️
#LangChat returns this week! Join us for an evening around unlearning, how's everyone doing these days, and a chance to reflect, grow, refresh, and continue building community amongst us!. Hosted by @AbelardoAlmazan.
See you then!
8:00pm EST, Thursday 4/28.
@MmeCarbonneau I try and have students move for at least one activity a day. Also sometimes I'm not feeling a lesson and will change it on the fly bc if I'm not feeling it it's harder to sell the fun to the students.
@rturne17 @Prof_F_Henshaw I definitely relate to this idea. I AM always doing something and creating something but it's because I learn something new, get a new and better idea from a coworker/friend/online & have add. Not 'overachiever' but students as focus & knowing i can always improve.
@PRHSspanish Love this idea! My kids thrive with a game and a prize. I would add a pot potato element. Two teams of two sitting opposite each other. If you out can't get sentence done with number of words then roll again. Don't be left with the marker and whiteboard when music stops!
