- at the base of his skull.
“It fell on my head?”
“Yeah, kid said it was unbelievable, just knocked you clean out as you fired…”
Dudley sighed, and that hurt.
“I guess you want my badge and gun…”
“Let’s see how Bergstresser does, yeah. Plenty of ways to play this game, Saomes.”
“…. oowww… what the hell.”
“Welcome back, detective.”
Dudley look up painful. Two BCPD beside… a hospital bed. He was in hospital?
“What happened?”
“You got into an altercation with that reporter, @TedBergstresser…”
Dudley remembered. That guy, always…
“Wait… did I shoot -
- baseball bat that fell from the rafters…”
“Baseball bat?”
“Yeah, we spoke to the one witness… what’s his name… Richard Grayson (@BludhavensOwn). Said a baseball bat fell from the rafters, clean on your head…”
There was an awful pain now that they mentioned it, but it was -
@TedBergstresser@BludhavensOwn Falling off his chair, blood spraying across his face, Dudley managed to land on his feet in a squat, drawing his Glock 19. He spun round, facing the reporter.
"Blüdhaven Police! Calm the fuck down, or I’ll shoot!"
@TedBergstresser@BludhavensOwn@MetropolisEagle@CatGrantShow @ScienceCops Dudley knocked back his bourbon and tapped the glass on the table.
“I’ll have someone make the necessary arrangements. Nice meeting you.” He stood and left, walking slowly. “Night, Dick,” he said to the barman, sliding the glass across the bar.
@TedBergstresser@BludhavensOwn@MetropolisEagle Dudley sat down, looking directly at the reporter. That was a face that had lived many lives. The lingering remains of a good tan, too. Had travelled.
“I pride myself on picking up accents. North Blüdhaven?”
@BludhavensOwn Dudley took another look around the bar, a few steps and saw a guy in one of the booths, that scruffy looking reporter for the @MetropolisEagle, @TedBergstresser.
He took his drink and walked over. “You mind?” he asked nodding at the empty seat before him.
@DelmoreRedhorn Soames left the office, slamming the door behind him. He ignored the looks from the other officers around him, marching quickly from the precinct before he hit someone.
