@edmnangagwa An encouraging performance! His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa’s presence clearly motivated the team. The electric atmosphere in the revamped stadium and the overwhelming fan support made for a top match.
A proud and spirited performance by our national team tonight at the National Sports Stadium.
While the final score did not go our way against the Democratic Republic of Congo, our players gave everything on the pitch and treated us to a genuinely magnificent game of football. They showed exceptional character, skill, and resilience against formidable opponents, proving that our football is moving in the right direction.
Defeats are tough, but they are also the foundation of future victories. We stand firmly behind the team and the technical staff as they regroup for the rest of the AFCON qualification campaign.
Thank you to the thousands of patriotic fans who filled the stadium and roared until the final whistle. Our journey continues!
@ShehuSani Zimbabwe does not exist in isolation.
Our development is connected to regional cooperation, international trade, investment, technology, climate resilience, peace and global economic governance.
That is why diplomacy matters to Vision 2030.

Today, I had the honor of meeting with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres in New York during the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly.
In our wide-ranging discussions on multilateralism, climate justice, water security, and global system reform, our message was clear: we come not merely as individual nations, but as one unified voice for Africa.
For too long, the international system has remained deeply unequal. True global peace and sustainable development cannot be achieved until the international financial architecture and global governance systems are structurally reformed to support developing nations fairly.
From advocating for robust climate adaptation financing to advancing water diplomacy for water-scarce nations, Africa stands ready to lead. We also firmly reaffirm that lasting stability requires the inclusion of women in global peace processes and the urgent resolution of ongoing international conflicts.
Thank you, Secretary-General Guterres, for recognizing Zimbabwe’s principled voice.
Together, as a united continent, we will continue to champion the development, equity, and future that Africa deserves.
I have joined fellow Heads of State and Government in New York for the opening of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
This important global gathering provides an opportunity for nations to engage on pressing international challenges, strengthen cooperation and advance matters of shared concern.
Zimbabwe remains committed to constructive engagement with the international community and to contributing meaningfully to discussions that shape our collective future.

It was the timing of the offer that made him turn it down. With his constitutional challenge still pending, accepting the offer at that particular moment would have contradicted the position he was taking in court. Under different circumstances, he should have accepted it.
