@WiggerMaggot My guy you may need to reread Contact Harvest. Mendicant Bias tells the prophets that the humans appearing as forerunners/tech on their radar are *representative* of his makers. Which is true, because they are Reclaimers of all the Forerunners left behind.

@Zomb01YT Marty specifically said their original thought before settling on Reach was to do a Halo 4. They ended up settling on a prequel so they never needed to directly answer the Forerunner/Human question themselves, but had left themselves both options with the end of 3.

@TheActMan_YT @TheActMan_YT -- You're missing the most attractive option. Retcon Halo 5-Infinite. Reset the universe to post Halo 4 / back to 2014. This way the MCC remains the canon entrypoint to the franchise. Chief is back on Earth, Cortana is dead, and Didact is out there. New direction

@MintBlitz I have been yearning for a First Strike game since I read this thing in 2005. When Reach was announced I was so excited to finally see the defense of Reach. I was probably more disappointed about Noble Team than any other Halo Fan in the world lol.

@PaulTassi @Forbes @PaulTassi - It would be a huge mistake to reboot back to Halo 3. Acti/Microsoft should capitalize on the success of MCC and leave that the canon entrypoint into the franchise. Reboot post Halo 4. Chief back in Earth, no Cortana, Didact Alive, and explore new direction from there

They're basically adopted children to the Forerunner.

@SVegvari The only way I want a Reach retelling is if they are going to properly tell Reach from the events of Fall of Reach + First Strike. Follow various Spartans and show how Reach fell. Start with Chief in Orbit, leave for CE, then follow Fred/other SII's on Reach until Chiefs return.
