It's become too easy to skip over the obvious but staggering point about '24, partly because none of the remaining @GOP candidates and all too few of the party's elected leaders are willing make it:
The Republican Party is steaming toward nominating a candidate for POTUS who is facing 4 criminal indictments, including one for plotting to overturn a free and fair election.
He very well could be a convicted felon by the Republican convention in July.
And he could win!
We should not lose sight of the meaning of this.
It would be a stunning rebuke of the rules, norms, laws and institutions upon which our democracy is founded and would have profound implications for the future.

BREAKING: Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump throws her husband Jared Kushner under the bus while testifying under oath at the Trump Organization’s $250 fraud trial in New York.

While being questioned by prosecutors from Attorney General Letitia James’ office, Ivanka Trump threw Kushner to the wolves, admitting under oath that it was Kushner himself who introduced her to the Deutsche Bank banker who helped Donald Trump and the Trump Organization commit financial fraud by inflating Trump’s assets in order to secure fraudulent loans for its Miami Doral gold course, the Old Post Office in D.C., as well as a large property in Chicago.

This is devastating news not only for the Trump Organization, but for her own husband Jared Kushner, which she just exposed to criminal liability for helping Trump and the Trump family business commit rampant fraud with her devastating testimony.

BREAKING: Trumper Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene drops Tuesday bombshell, declares that new Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson should “be ousted” for crossing two “red lines.”

In today’s explosive interview, Greene said that Speaker Johnson should “be ousted” because he is “about to pass” a “continuing resolution” to keep the government funded and because that continuing resolution contains “Ukraine funding” to help Ukraine fend off Russia and Vladimir Putin’s deadly invasion.

Greene declared, “We had Matt Gaetz, and seven other Republicans that declared red lines, where any speaker that passes a CR, or funds Ukraine war funding should be ousted. So my question is, we’re about to have speaker Mike Johnson pass the CR. And he is talking about passing mega, mega Ukraine funding.”

But sour grapes Greene wasn’t done complaining about Mike Johnson…

She then whined that it’s Johnson’s fault that her motion to censure Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib for attending a peaceful pro Israel-Palestinian ceasefire protest outside of the White House, which Greene shamelessly called “an insurrection,” flopped miserably and ended up leaving her humiliated. Greene complained that Speaker Johnson “didn’t whip votes for it” and “told people to vote their conscience,” which in her eyes means that he “was not supportive of it.”

Then, Greene shamelessly declared that Congresswoman Tlaib should be treated “like Trump” has been treated for inciting the deadly January 6 insurrection — even though the protest that Tlaib attended was a peaceful protest — and Trump’s violent insurrection sent over 140 Capitol Officers to the hospital and even led to multiple deaths and sent hundreds of members of Congress cowering under their seats and running for their lives.

Clearly, she’s upset because nobody in America takes her seriously — not even the members of Congress in her own party.

BREAKING: One of Donald Trump’s top Republican allies in Congress defies Judge Engoron, launches a vicious, unhinged attack on Engoron’s law clerk in a shameless effort to help Trump attack the clerk without violating the gag order that the judge placed on him.

In a dangerous official statement released today, Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik declared, “"The Far Left Judge's clerk is a major Democrat donor and operative who has apparently donated more than the yearly limit for a New York Judge's staff member. It is illegal and un-American for the Leftist Judge in NY to order that President Trump and his legal team can't raise issues about the Judge's biased law clerk ---- especially when it is very obvious that she is playing an integral role in the case.”

Stefanik continued, declaring, “This is a dangerous pattern by Democrats across the country to try to muzzle any defendant ---- let alone the leading Presidential candidate who is leading in all the polls against corrupt Joe Biden. Republicans must join together to fight back against the unprecedented and illegal weaponization of Government against President Trump."

Simply deplorable. Since Stefanik knows that that Donald Trump is banned from attacking the law clerk, she decided to stick her neck out for Trump to do hit dirty work because there is no gag order against her.

Just when you thought that Trump and his “law and order” Republican enablers couldn’t sink any lower, now they are openly conspiring with Trump to attack judges and their law clerks for simply doing their jobs and administering the law.

Talking to the press at his fraud trial today, the corrupt former president admitted to lying about his financial documents:

BREAKING: Republican 2024 presidential candidate Donald Trump loses it, throws a humiliating courtroom hissy-fit at his New York fraud trial after remaining uncharacteristically quiet during the first two days of trial.

It all started when the Judge Arthur Engoron declared that certain formalities can be ignored because there is no jury in Trump’s trial.

At this point, courtroom reporters say that Trump “began to grumble and angrily folded his arms while staring at the judge” and then “turned to defense lawyer Alina Habba,” loudly groaned, and exclaimed, “No jury!”

Then, Trump “threw his arms up in disgust and shook his head” as Judge Engoron looked on in disbelief, because, as he noted yesterday and the day before, it was Trump himself who decided to be tried by a judge instead of a jury.

Trump is clearly furious that he lost the case and he’s in serious danger of losing his business and going bankrupt, and now he’s desperately trying to save face with his cult.

BREAKING: Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is humiliated after the floor of Congress erupts, chanting, "Shame shame, shame!” at McCarthy after he censured Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff over his investigations into Donald Trump.

ABC News reports that McCarthy tried to control the outburst against him, but “the banging of his gavel could barely be heard over Democrats yelling that the move was a "disgrace" and more.

BREAKING: Donald Trump proves that he is well and truly washed up by unveiling his boring new nickname for Joe Biden in a desperate attempt to juice his flailing campaign.

At a speech in New Hampshire, Trump announced that he is retiring the moniker "Crooked Hillary" and will now refer to the president as "Crooked Joe Biden," proving that he simply cannot figure out a good way to attack a president as accomplished as Biden.

If the 2024 election is Biden vs Trump, the smart money is on Biden absolutely wiping the floor with this twice impeached and indicted has-been.
