Excited to learn from @leeannjung as she joins @CRSCHOOLS admin in our summer learning as we strive to empower, engage, and include so we can cultivate pathways for ALL!
@DrBTroop love this focus! Transformational leadership starts with our focus and dedication toward collective commitments that guide where our energy must flow. Thanks for sharing @AASAHQ#LeadershipMatters#aasa
@PrincipalProj ...listen and lead with empathy and clarity- make expectations clear but remember first that we are in the people profession and your culture is critical.
This year was probably the toughest year I have faced as a school administrator. Yes, tougher than the pandemic, tougher than a natural disaster (faced both in 2020). But I didn't quit on my staff, our students, my family, or myself- and I am coming back for more. #LearnLoveLead
Books with multiracial characters have clear value to students who share these identities, but it is important for all readers to see depictions of diverse populations. https://t.co/pgMDP3LvTd #edchat#Literature#learning
While it’s not a new title, I’m always looking for titles to add to build my understanding and grow as a leader. I’ve got another book arriving later this week. Still love the feeling of a book in my hand.
Every superintendent and school board member should read this article. A decade of toughening teacher evaluations and tying it to standardized tests have shown no positive impact on student learning. It has only decreased morale. Stop the madness.

It's back-to-school time! Do you know when it is safe and legal to pass a stopped school bus with its gate arm extended and lights flashing?
Also, be alert for
🚸 children crossing the street
🚲 pedestrians & cyclists
🦺 crossing guards

@sai_iowa “It’s not about you!” Was left on a post it note for me by the outgoing principal and I’ve kept it taped to my computer ever since. Our role is to inspire, support, set and communicate direction in a collaborative environment. We set the tone so make it a positive one!
Although we know from research, especially @john_hattie, that student development (yep…Piaget) has one of the highest effect sizes, we continue to erode play from the younger grades and replace it with sitting. Joyful learning- movement, choice, safety, collaboration!
We are excited to announce that CRCSD Superintendent, Noreen Bush, has been recognized by The Gazette's HER as an Outstanding Community Leadership Award Recipient, which is a top honor!

Learning about how we can make some changes to teacher feedback to support instructional growth with @marioacosta31 at @HRSInstitute@MarzanoResource Why? Because teachers deserve systems and structures that support their growth! #hrsinstitute
Loving the idea of teachers sharing their instructional growth goals with their students to model continuous learning and development. If we want our kids to be lifelong learners, let’s model that we all have things to work on. #hrsinstitute
