Services are downgraded to eek out more returns. Usually this involves things like putting features that used to be free behind paywalls, adding annoying gamification to force retention, or other rug-pull like tactics.

And best of all I can make my own feeds and only see the people i follow and see custom feeds made from those people I actually want to see posts from, and i get as much or more interaction without having to get caught by the opaque algorithm.
I like bluesky I can make my own feeds and its not owned by a racist nazi billionaire and it isnt constantly switching to for you and isnt trying to sell me stuff and doesnt offer a button that lets you ai remix every photo and doesnt have a mechahitler chatbot and doesnt spread
