I saw this right after waking up this morning, and in my hazy state, I genuinely thought this poster was just something I had created in my dreams.... until I realized that my dreams were actually nightmares... and those nightmares... were real.
๐จ GENUINE QUESTION ALERT ๐จ
What are your favorite movies of all time?
Not necessarily the BEST movies you've ever seen, just ones that you personally love.
Here are my top 3 favorites:
1. The Shawshank Redemption
2. Terminator 2
3. The Iron Giant
YOUR TURN!
@LesserBearcat I love all of these. Out of all of 'em, I've watched No Country the most. Sometimes I'll just watch clips of it on YouTube. I wish there were more modern westerns. Check out Hell or High Water if you haven't seen it. Similar vibe to No Country, but a great film in its own right.
@NoG_uess I've enjoyed Charlie Kaufman's previous stuff so I think I'd dig it. I still need to see Anomalisa too, but that also looks reaaaaally depressing.
@RexColt364 Evangelion is one of those things where every now and then I get vaguely interested in watching, but for some reason it's always seemed impenetrable to me. I think it's because I've heard people hype it up for so long at this point.
@duane_moody It's been so long. I need to see it again. I rewatched Robin Hood Men In Tights a while ago and I still got some laughs out of it. I wish modern comedies had silly humor. Everything is either cynical or meme-y now.
@dimeinurear VERY NICE. I love all of these.
I was just saying to my girlfriend yesterday, that even after all this time, I think Iron Man is still the best superhero origin story ever shown on film. It's just... simple and perfect.
@Thaviel Logan is a 10/10 for me.
Did you see the live action GitS? It wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be, because it at least looked visually nice, but it was soulless and pointless in every way.
@Styrbigbear Man, I've been putting off watching 2049 for so long, despite the fact everyone involved in it is someone I'm a fan of. Denis Villeneuve and Roger Deakins are so goddamn talented.
@CSkelcher I've never been able to pick and choose which LOTR I like the best. It's easier for me to just think of it as the longest mainstream movie ever made.
@hughesmaire1 I wish movies still had silly (and brilliant) sight gag humor like in the Naked Gun. Every time I watch those, I'll spot a new joke that I didn't notice in a previous viewing.
