@DarnaImpakta He is a UK influencer, yes. But widely followed by DDS circles, and posts like this help validate and amplify narratives that often blur the line between political loyalty, distortion, and misinformation.
Satire suddenly becomes “disrespectful” when it hits the politicians you support?
The joke wasn’t about violence. For many Filipinos, it was clearly parody of perceived political theatrics surrounding the “Senate under attack” narrative.
KUMUSTA KA NA?
On #Agenda, Korina Sanchez-Roxas, Pinky Webb, Willard Cheng, and Monique Tuzon-Basi tackled the latest developments surrounding the Senate shooting, including questions on CCTV footage, ongoing investigations, and transparency in the handling of evidence.
During the discussion, Korina also touched on the emotional moment involving Senator Pia Cayetano, who earlier became emotional in the Senate after saying no one from the minority checked on them following the incident.
'WE OWE THE FILIPINO PEOPLE MUCH, MUCH BETTER THAN THIS'
Nanawagan si Sen. Risa Hontiveros sa bagong liderato ng Senado na protektahan ang dignidad at reputasyon ng mataas na kapulungan.
"Nawawala ang paggalang at tiwala ng taumbayan sa Senado when our powers and traditions are being misused to avoid accountability," saad ng senadora.
"The Senate must not become a mockery in the face of the Filipino people, especially when the public is looking to us to faithfully perform our Constitutional duties," dagdag pa ni Hontiveros.
So… international agreements, treaties, and global accountability mechanisms are “stupid” only when allies are involved?
The tough-guy script really collapses when the conversation shifts from bravado to consequences.

“Protective custody.”
Interesting phrase.
When ordinary Filipinos are accused, they get handcuffs.
When powerful allies are accused, they get Senate protection, legal reinterpretations, and press conferences.
Suddenly, sovereignty is trending when accountability comes knocking.
Newly installed Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano said Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, who is under the chamber’s “protective custody,” may only be turned over to authorities on a warrant issued by a Philippine court.

Wish list for the Philippines: lawmakers - yes, Senators and Congressmen, and public servants who truly work for the people and with the people, not for the preservation of each other’s interests and political survival.
Public service should never become a mutual protection club.
Akala ko ba, handa kang sumama sa The Hague?
So, it’s easy to talk about loyalty and courage when accountability is still theoretical? And it’s a different story when the warrant has your name on it?
@j_tc27 The tough-guy image built during the drug war is crumbling fast -- replaced by panic, emotional appeals, and chaotic Senate scenes.
The ICC hasn’t even arrived yet.
