Today, the district honored a legend. Joined by the whole school community, school board members, and Mr. DeWayne Tucker's family, the district honored Mr. Tucker's legacy, renaming the Duquesne City School District gym after him. https://t.co/dIVwch6OuW

Sending thoughts and prayers to our friends at the @YoughHS as you work through a terrible tragedy. We stand ready to support you if you need anything.
Sharing a resource: Check out the graphic for upcoming UPMC for You Dental Days, which are open to children, ages 1-18. A relevant detail to know, as students require a dental exam to enter Kindergarten, 3rd Grade and 7th grade.
8 is Great! It’s been 8 years since I came to Duquesne and they truly had been life changing! I have such a great admin staff, amazing teachers and staff, and just terrific students! I feel lucky everyday I walk into the Duke to be able to lead such a caring and dedicated staff!
Huge SHOUTOUT to Pittsburgh Area Community Schools (PACS) for planning such an amazing parent engagement activity tonight @DukeCitySD! It was well attended and families were able to connect with lots of different resources!
As our students near the end of this week, hit the link for some classroom scenes from today! Lots of learning, fun, and creativity! https://t.co/0YOu2dEZ8r
As 7th and 8th grade students blindly grabbed a colored ball out of a box, holding it up with glee before going down a large inflatable slide, the Duquesne City School District began its second year of implementing the Ron Clark Academy house system model. https://t.co/FNXEAMOyJj
So proud of these middle school students @DukeCitySD! They sat on a panel for the Personalized Learning Summit with other high school students to discuss what school could be! @remakelearning#leadforlearners
This @DukeCitySD core middle school team…
Not only amazing educators but amazing humans as well! The @ronclarkacademy House System was a HUGE success! Thank you for putting in the time and energy to make it successful!
Larry Griffin, our Director of Food and Nutrition, made pizzas with students before gathering student input on the school's food program. As always, student feedback is an important part of our decision-making process, from food and beyond.
