Laika films aren't known for big numbers, but I'm gonna say it anyways. Animation fans are fake as hell who only want to stir up drama and don't want to show up for the art. They likely wouldn't go to an art museum/show, that's how much don't they care.
I don’t give a fuck what Sam Altman declares. Why are we just letting these tech bros make these decisions for us? When did we all decide we don’t have any agency?
The biggest takeaway from DIGGER shouldn't be that critics are wrong. It should be that it's really important for you to go to the movies to experience art and formulate your own opinion.
Many artists are discouraged lately due to AI. The best thing to do is continue creating. It's never been about likes & follows. You create because you have things to say & art is your language. Artists largely reject gen AI because they don't want an algorithm speaking for them.
All of the replies saying things like 'but this is just a power up to someone with your skills, now you can pump out remakes at a much faster rate'
This is only crystallizing my emotions further on this, it's all just an assembly line where people get the cool new toy now
