Crews on scene of a structure fire on the 800 block of North 59th Avenue West. The fire started in the basement with extension to the first floor.

DFD crews are responding to the report of a structure fire on the 800 block of North 59th Ave West. Crews are on scene and confirms active smoke in the basement of the home. Hose lines have been pulled.

Fire is knocked down. Continuing to look for extension throughout the home.

Fire is located on the Charlie Delta side of the home in the basement. 8 Quint has begun the fire attack and 2 Engine crews are looking for extension.

Duluth Fire is responding to the report of a car that rolled backward and is now hanging from a divider above Mesaba Avenue and West 1st Street. No one was injured. The car is totaled.

To date, the DFD has responded to over 4,730 calls for service. In 2021, the Department responded to over 14,800 calls which broke previous call records. Regardless of weather or situation, we'll be there. We are proud to serve our community. @MNProFFs

DFD crews are responding to down power lines that are sparking on the 1700 block of West Arrowhead Road. Winds are gusting at over 40mph. Stay tuned to @mnpower for any power outages.

Crews responding to structure fire at old Voyageur Hotel site on the 300 block of East Superior Street. Please avoid the area. Do NOT run over hose lines. Traffic is being detoured between 3rd Avenue East and 4th Avenue East.

If you are in the area of East Superior Street please detour around the 300 block of East Superior Street. Traffic will be detoured between East 3rd Avenue West and East 4th Avenue East on Superior Street will be closed while crews are working to put out the fire.

Structure fire. Crews are on scene of the old Voyageur Hotel located on the 300 block of East Superior Street. Smoke has been confirmed to be coming from the demolition site. Crews are evaluating the scene.
