For the next 2 weeks we'll be taking donations for care packages. After 12/9 we'll be assembling them and safely distributing to those suffering from homelessness in the Duluth area. Additionally, later this winter we'll be doing a clothing drive- so watch for that! Stay safe!

A9: One of our favorite memories from the voter engagement campaigns is getting to meet other students in other organizations and joining forces to emphasize the importance of getting out and voting! #WereStillOrganizing#SLSVChat
Q9: This election season will be unforgettable! What’s your favorite memory of doing voting work? Share a story or a picture or both! #WereStillOrganizing#SLSVChat
A8: Encouraging people to vote early or online will help shorten the polling delays on election day, and help to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Early voting starts Friday, Sept. 18th and Tues, Oct. 20th is the last day to send your mail-in ballot! #WereStillOrganizing#SLSVChat
Q8: We are facing an unprecedented shortage of poll workers, which could mean closed polling places and long delays. How are you mobilizing students to fill in those gaps? #WereStillOrganizing#SLSVChat
A7: We plan to use our social media to build an online campaign and use those platforms to directly engage with UMD students. Collaborating with other orgs is another great way we build our community and connect with new people! #WereStillOrganizing#SLSVChat
A6: Ballotpedia, an online nonprofit, nonpartisan Encyclopedia of American Politics, is one helpful tool to use in staying up to date with election changes, deadlines and dates! It covers different levels of politics, public policy, and elections! #WereStillOrganizing#SLSVChat
Q6: What resources have you used to stay up to date with election changes, deadlines, and dates? Shout out an organization that helps you stay informed! #WereStillOrganizing#SLSVChat
A5: Having conversations with people about the upcoming elections, promoting important election information and dates, sharing tools and resources, are some of the ways we try to help educate our friends and peers on campus about voting! #WereStillOrganizing#SLSVChat
Q5: Getting #VoteReady looks different for every person. How are you helping educate your friends and peers on how to vote in upcoming elections? #WereStillOrganizing#SLSVChat
A2: Relational organizing is the ability to mobilize those in your community through personal relationships. We have always valued the power of our campus and community connections, and believe continuing to build those relationships is crucial! #WereStillOrganizing#SLSVChat
A1: Every year we get to speak to classes about our org and help register people to vote. This year we can’t enter students' due to COVID, so we plan to create a quick and fun video with all that info for the professors to share! #WereStillOrganizing#SLSVChat
Q1: We know young people have the power to shape this Election, and we need everyone’s help! What are some ways your team is thinking about recruiting new people to join your organizing efforts? #WereStillOrganizing#SLSVChat
A3: We are connecting with different departments of our campus in order to create a unified front in promoting civic engagement to the student body! We will be utilizing social media, the school website, sharing videos, hanging posters, and more! #WereStillOrganizing#SLSVChat
Q3: Due to COVID-19, many campus organizers can’t use traditional outreach events like tabling to inform and educate voters about elections. How have you adjusted your plan for providing voting information to students digitally? #WereStillOrganizing#SLSVChat
A4: Our communities are made up of friends and loved ones, some who don’t understand the importance of voting and some who don’t have the privilege. When you vote, you are also voting for those who can’t. Vote for yourself and those around you! #WereStillOrganizing#SLSVChat
Q4: Friends make sure friends vote, and the first step to doing that is registering to vote! What’s your quick pitch on why it’s important to register to vote? #WereStillOrganizing#SLSVChat
