@NhavsMaimonides So this is very thought provoking. Don’t have much space here for much; in one sentence, while your points on the pitfalls of “tzaddik” are so important, perhaps there is a middle ground, where “tzaddik” does refer to some sort of status or achievement. A “level” w/o deification

@zekelehrman @NhavsMaimonides @shnayor Yeah that’s true, but the same Tanya also talks about the tzaddik who has achieved a level of “iskafyah,” which means an outstanding individual who manages to subdue and transform the dark stuff rather then struggle with it.
