@jchybow@DhalgrenMarquis I think a big difference in experiences between people are the camera revisions over the years. I think possibly some of the earlier hw3 revisions could be causing more issues. That, or some later years had some revision issues. Who knows. Just a guess.
@itsyigitgungor@rhensing Could this simply be due to the fact that 14 runs an entirely different model than 12? 14 creates a hierarchy of priorities and discards the rest. 12 was a dragnet of data. It would take in everything and try to process it all.
Didn’t notice those surges, but I did have steering wheel wobble. Seemed worse than 12.6.4. Hurry mode also seemed pretty slow to me. Could just be the software has to settle in/calibrate a bit. Used FSD for about 10 miles until I had to intervene when it tried to go around a McDonald’s the wrong way.
I’ve seen a lot of people blame FSD for maneuvers that ended up being their own fault, but this was just a legitimate swerve out of nowhere. My side repeaters often get pixelated though, so might be related to hardware. Have an appointment to replace them so hopefully that’s all it is.
I had my model y on 12.6.4 swerve into oncoming traffic the other week for no reason. Has never done that before and scared my whole family. Thankfully I was paying attention and grabbed the wheel back in time. No errors in logs or service mode. Everything appears to be functioning fine. I really need 14 lite. Haven’t used FSD since that happened because I don’t trust 12.6.4 anymore.
