Congratulations to one of the biggest competitors I’ve ever been able to share the ice with! It was an honor to play with him, win with him, and appreciate all the times (there were a lot) when he bailed me out with a huge save no one had any business making. Sometimes hockey can be poetic and passing him the @StanleyCup will go down as one of the most special moments of my life. Congratulations to him on such an incredible career, but more importantly, to him and his family for being some of the most generous and special people Emily and I have ever had the chance to be around!!

NBA: need more load management.
NHL: need to shed my walking boot and play through a high ankle sprain so I can let the other team avenge that dirty hit I threw three weeks ago.
Thundercat releases a letter dedicated to Mac Miller after dropping his new single:
"What can I say about Mac Miller that hasn’t been said, shared & explored with you all. I always considered Mac a “one man rat pack”. Smooth like Frank, cool like Sammy, suave like Dean.
I wish that you all could have been there with us the moment this song was created in his garage. Between Mac Miller, Taylor Graves, Burg & I we all knew it was something special. So happy to be able to finally share!
From Faces, to Swimming in Circles, to Ballonerism and beyond…long live Mac Miller!!!"
Hi guys! So in retirement I’ve had the opportunity to watch a lot more hockey, especially from a fan’s perspective rather than an active player. Between that and doing some broadcasting, I’ve been toying with an idea to help (hopefully) grow the game. If you’ve tuned into the VGK or Chicago broadcasts, I’ve done it a little bit in the intermission or pre/postgame shows, but I’m thinking of doing some video breakdowns of particular goals or plays that highlight the little things that make the biggest difference. I certainly don’t know everything, but I do know that these little things are often times the difference between winning and losing. My goal is twofold - first, to highlight and showcase the talent in the NHL that goes unnoticed, doesn’t show up on the scoresheet, or isn’t necessarily reflected through the traditional categories of skill i.e. skating, passing, stickhandling or shooting. (There’s a lot of it!) Second, I’d like to help educate the average fan so they can appreciate the game a little more when they watch it. Other than hockey, football is my favorite sport and I’ve always enjoyed watching the @danorlovsky7’s, @BaldyNFL’s, and @gregcosell’s of the world while they explain the “why” in a particular play. I’ve recorded one already and will post it soon. While I’m still getting used to the technology and figuring out some things as I go, I hope people enjoy it and if they do, I can continue to do more. Thanks!!
