I have reached 1945 in my quest for all of Duncan's historical scores. 1945 was Duncan's first state championship. The Demons began the season with a loss to Classen and a tie against Pauls Valley before winning 10 of the next 11. The only other loss was to Ardmore, which they avenged in the state semifinals. Duncan then defeated Will Rogers 17-7 in the title game at OU's Owen Field to end an 18-game winning streak for the Ropers. Duncan's Billy Sims (not THAT Billy Sims) had a 55-yard touchdown run that sealed the win. #tdfn #okpreps @DuncanDemonFB
