@elonmusk Private health care just means people die at home instead of the ER, fearing the impossible to pay medical bill. And if they have insurance, the insurance only covers a small fraction of the costs, and will "deny" treatment options based on costs.
Watch out for bias data
@elonmusk So when is anyone going to talk about the right's fascination with circumcision? Which permanently mutilates babies who can't even talk and provides no medical benefits in 99.9% of cases.
@elonmusk I'm disappointed, binary thinking like this is the sign of an uneducated non scientific mind used to simplify the complex universe. All binary systems breakdown the deeper you analyze the science, and are only sometimes useful for generalizations.
@darwintojesus 4 so while we call them moral truths in a social construct you get conflict in definition. This is why it's not a physics issue (defined by the universe) but a culture issue (defined by humans) so different science to use to define them.
@darwintojesus 3 As such they become "Moral Truths" and laws are usually made, building the social contract of community. But this is also why its not universal as each culture has different specifics on when a line is crossed. (Murder vs killing in defence of community)
@ThePholosopherX That works for lazy government bent on being a business instead of a public service.
Government should be aiming to provide the best service to their communities, and pulling resources together to improve infrastructure and systems. Privatization is the sign of a lazy government
@EricLDaugh The right: be Christians and follow Christ's teachings
Also the right: defends rapists
Both sides have extremists if you know where to look. You want positive change police your own sides as much as you want to police the other side. Hold everyone accountable for the crimes.
@JayTC53@elonmusk It's wasn't 80% he barely got the popular vote.
There was a lot of "I don't want Kamala" due to the bs the Dems pulled, not actually pro Trump.
There have been surveys before and actually the 2 party system is generally disliked by many Americans as it traps into binary choice.
@TheJFreakinC The other thing was guaranteed loans, this encouraged colleges to increase the cost of tuition. The cost of tuition didn't raise relative to inflation in exploded massively in comparison. This is cause they know they will get the money regardless.
@TheJFreakinC No loan should accrue interest to exceed the original value of the loan (a $30k loan should not take over $60k to pay off)
I'm not an expert but I would even argue 25% to 50% cap.
@elonmusk Having access to a Tesla with Full self driving, I would like lidar or similar.
Reaching human parity for driving is a good goal, it ensures the foundation is solid but humans aren't perfect the point of self driving was to reduce human failure modes which means adding.
@ianmiles You seem to think universities are just schools, they are also centers of research and innovation the USA partnered with tons of internal universities to do research. Some social, some tech, some useful, some less useful.
It was about doing science and learning about the world.
