There are not only legal ramifications but also safeguarding issues.

@TimWardCam @kentishsal @ChrisGiles_ If she qualifies for a British passport, she does not need settled status BUT she has to prove that (if she carries her old passport that will be enough). Not everyone born in the UK qualifies for a British passport

If someone hasn't linked their travel document to their euss, there could be a short hold up until it is checked. DOES NOT APPLY TO VISITORS
