They’re targeting people living paycheck to paycheck with ads about how Kalshi can pay for a meal, groceries, or rent

Showing people with relationship problems videos about how happy their spouse could be if their “trade” hits on Kalshi

Suggesting to new moms how Kalshi can be part of their self care “me time” routine along with skincare and snacks

This is overtly predatory and evil behavior

The people betting their rent payment or their kid’s tuition are not sharps with special insight into the probability of world events. They are desperate people about to destroy their lives and families with gambling addiction

Lately it’s also become clear that the existence of these markets are actively affecting outcomes and enabling corruption and bad actors

The whole thing is so cynical and corrosive. It’s like what the Sackler family did with OxyContin
