Not D&D related but school related.

I’ve had chatter from non-ed friends about how we coddle kids and they need to toughen up. Even my ed friends complain about SEL and kids always going off to guidance and that kids “know the right words” to get out of everything. 1/?

And no one ever did anything. I recently found some old journals where my 9 year old self begged “Somebody please help me please.” That plea continued until I was 19 and finally got therapy and medication.

Holy cow we are back! D&D club held an informational meeting today and we had 15 students show, only 5 of them returning 8th graders! And we’re still fielding emails from kiddos who want to join but couldn’t make the meeting. AND 1/3 of those newbies are girls! Whaaaat?? #dndclub

We finally got the go ahead from our admin, so our advisors held a hangout for our club members today! We are excited to get some online games going and get some normalcy back in the kids lives. We may be stuck at home but our dice never stop rolling! #DnD

@Monsters_Multi I run a club for middle schoolers and we teach them that the DMs word is law. If we allowed them to vote it would be pure anarchy 😂 and middle schoolers are hobgoblin murder hobos and should not be given that kind of power
