Hey @elonmusk, the Block function needs a total overhaul to align with the Public Square philosophy.
Currently, blocking is used as a "win" button in arguments or for minor name-calling. It should be reserved for the same metrics as a Suspension: actual stalking, threats, or harassment.
If someone’s behavior isn't severe enough to get them suspended from the platform, it shouldn't be enough to justify a block that cuts off the flow of information. If you can’t handle a disagreement or a name, use the Mute button. Keep the Block for the criminals and the creeps.
Align the metrics. Make the block button mean something again. #FreeSpeech #X
SHOCKING: Right on the eve of World Day Against Child Labour, Carney apparently thought it was the ideal moment to scrap the office that investigates child slavery.
You can't make this shit up!
@gator_gum Funny how the exact same criticism becomes "accountability" when your team does it and "whining" when the other side does.
The mental gymnastics are spectacular.
@gator_gum Gator. When he says how shitty Canada is now, he's talking about the government you voted for and their policies, the one that doubled housing costs, overwhelmed social services, sent food bank use to record highs, and tanked our standard-of-living rankings.
Awkward, eh?
Accusing someone of "weaponizing" a CTV News headline is a wild way to admit you care more about protecting the government's feelings than feeding children. You can spin it all day, but one person is exposing the crisis, and the other is just trying to change the channel.
Ryan Gerritsen is weaponizing struggling children to swipe at the gov't.
The same Ryan Gerritsen that is strongly against a good program at schools to help these very people he is using right now.
Disgusting.
