About once a year a teacher will accidentally send an email to the entire district (about 7k people). This is followed by teachers and admin, most with master's degrees or higher, hitting "reply all" and begging for all the emails to stop. It can go on for days. It's glorious.
We are synthesizing information as we meet in discussion groups using new photographs to help us thoroughly understand how pollinators 🐝 help plants 🌱 grow and survive.
Working as researchers in discussion groups we synthesized information about bees 🐝 from multiple texts to determine why bees are attracted to flowers 🌸 and which body structures are responsible for pollination.
Today these second graders having a Science Talk to discuss everything we’ve learned about how plants 🌱 grow and survive. We love these discussion protocols. Thank you @ELeducation
Happy ❤️ Valentine’s Day! Our sweet second graders had a blast yesterday. We brought in our decorated mailboxes and selected our favorites before stuffing them with candy and cards. Finally we finished out the day with a class 🎉 party.

Today we held our Fossils exhibition for @KristofecksMVPs. We opened with a song, talked about all of the books we read and things we learned, created trace fossils, and shared our illustrated narrative writing. Another fantastic unit from @ELeducation. #JCPSDL
