So here’s a message from Chairman Sean Downey

I was very proud and delighted to attend the Beds FA Awards Presentation Evening last night to receive the Bedfordshire Club of the Year Award for 2025-26 season, and a 'Special Club Recognition' Award. This is a fantastic tribute to everyone associated with Leighton Town FC. Huge thanks and congratulations to everyone who has made this possible. Our extremely hard working Committee, Reedy, the players and the First Team Management Team, managers and coaches across the club, volunteers, sponsors/partners and of course our amazing supporters. We should all feel very proud of this great honour. It reflects the huge progress the club has made both on and off the pitch in recent years, and as Chairman, I could not feel prouder of everyone connected with our club.

Next season is going to be a huge challenge as we step into unknown waters but if we continue to work hard, and further build the togetherness that is palpable across our club, community and town, I feel confident we can meet this challenge.

Thank you everyone for all that you do to make our club such an important part of the fabric of our town and community.

𝐓𝐄𝐍 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒 𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 🔴

On this day in 2016, we were relegated from Step 4 and into the Spartan, with falling attendances and the club on the brink of collapse.

Through the hard work of brilliant people, our club has transformed over the last decade. From debts and despair, to sustainability and optimism.

Without the tireless hard work behind the scenes, Leighton Town Football Club would have no doubt, ceased to exist. But here we are, 10 years on, celebrating winning the league at Step 4 and preparing to play Step 3 football for the first time in our history.

We’ve also celebrated that Beds Senior Cup win and winning the Spartan in that time, as well as enjoyable cup runs and so many great memories along the way.

Everybody at the club is so grateful to all of our wonderful committee members, our volunteers, our supporters, our players and staff, our sponsors, everyone associated with our football club.

That thank you only extends to Mr Leighton Town himself, Sean Downey, our chairman, without his efforts to restore life into our club, we would not be where we are today.

Let’s celebrate these moments together, get down to Bell Close on Saturday and let’s witness history together ❤️
