Why would costs come down immediately when the deal was just made?

Is this ideal? No, but it addresses the economic situation in the short term, and the administration is obviously in favor of policies that will promote American Beef.

Why should we attack the President for doing his best to address the current situation while working to address the root of the problem?

Roy Cooper’s latest ad is a complete and total fabrication. He claims he locked dangerous criminals up as Attorney General and worked with President Trump to fight fentanyl trafficking.
Roy Cooper has never worked with Trump on anything in his life.
He released 3500 dangerous criminals, some with life sentences, onto the streets and now 18 people are dead as a result. During Covid, he locked down businesses and churches while leaving bars and strip clubs open. He ruined a whole generation’s educational experience by keeping schools locked down and now thousands of NC kids are hopelessly behind. He left town while hurricane Helene ravaged Western North Carolina and did nothing for the victims afterwards.
Roy Cooper is a liar and a fraud. If he did all this as governor, imagine the damage he will do to country in the Senate. Roy Cooper cannot be allowed to represent North Carolina ever again.

Duke energy is raising rates largely due to the increased costs and unreliability of “green energy”

For every Megawatt of green energy in the grid, 1 Megawatt of backup has to be added as well. Usually a natural gas burning power plant.

So you’re paying for 2 power generating systems just to use 1 of them. Horrible business model, made possible by the monopoly our NC government created for Duke Energy and a few other companies.

They can pass the cost of bad business on to you, because you have no other choice.

Yeah…I don’t think this is an accurate representation of his position.

Being the world’s reserve currency at the same time as being a fiat currency comes with both advantages and disadvantages.

Not the least of which is fiat currency always leads to inflationary monetary policy.

If we weren’t a fiat currency that would be one thing, but being a fiat currency and the worlds reserve currency doesn’t just mean “we can buy thing cheap” it encourages currency manipulation in the worst ways and allows for the US to hide horrible monetary and fiscal conditions in a way that not being the worlds reserve currency would not allowed.

I think the far larger issue here is the fiat nature of the dollar.
