1/ Intro

While most of #LooksRare's volume has been wash trading, the legitimate NFT volume in Jan alone was still more than what #NFT marketplaces #Rarible, #SuperRare, #Foundation, #Makersplace, and #Aysnc did in all of 2021 combined.

That is still impressive.

Clearly we are still very early in building a truly decentralised system in #Web3. These kind of events leave only the true believers and builders behind.

We still need a viable currency that is truly decentralised yet suitable to be used as a medium of economic exchange.

#LooksRare currently at $2.83, making it a 2x from when I wrote this thread recently calling it undervalued.

Staking rewards would have provided good $WETH and $LOOKS returns as well.

This should paint a less skewed picture of the adoption and provide more accurate valuation comparison between #LooksRare and #OpenSea.

Just comparing the ratios of the two platforms, $LOOKS seems to be trading at a discount at its current price of $1.43.

@arthur0x Its horrible, I generally think it is really important to have more centralised front-end solutions to protect investors and make things more user-friendly. Current approach may not be friendly enough for mass adoption.

Centralised #crypto exchanges do play a large role in on-boarding more retail investors and complying with regulations.

I’m open to the idea of a decentralised infrastructure and centralised front-end co-existing to satisfy regulators and make #web3 more usable for the masses!

Rugged by a CEX. Staked my $ATOM a couple of months ago there and got none of the airdrops on the #CosmosEcosystem. Brutally punished.

Well, learn and move on. Gotta admit, it’s kinda tough monitoring each ecosystem. Too much happening in #web3 and #Crypto now to keep up with.
