#DurlstonYr3 🔦✨became shadow scientists today! Using torches, pupils designed and carried out their own investigations to explore how shadows change in size. They discovered how moving a light source closer or further away can make shadows grow and shrink in size 🌟

🌱 The Reef Garden in Middle School is flourishing! Pupils have been busy harvesting fresh lettuce to share with the Durlston Kitchen team. All the care invested in the garden is really paying off, giving pupils the opportunity to see the rewards of growing their own produce 🌿

#DurlstonYr3 had a fantastic time exploring potential and kinetic energy using their very own homemade catapults! 🚀 From storing energy to launching projectiles, pupils saw science in action and discovered how energy can be transferred and transformed through hands-on learning.

The sun finally made an appearance at Durlston Horse Riding Club today ☀️🐴 Riders were hard at work cleaning and preparing the stables, making everything ready for the horses to settle in after their lessons. Teamwork, fresh air, and happy horses – a perfect day at the yard!

100 pots for 100 years!
Children in #DurlstonMiddlePrep each painted a rainforest-themed pot and planted sunflower seeds in honour of Sir David Attenborough’s 100th year. A wonderful way to celebrate nature, creativity and environmental awareness!
