ROAM organized a field visit to Abishyizehamwe PGS group located at Rulindo to strengthen their capacity in entrepreneurship and marketing. The visit focused on improving their business skills, identifying market opportunities, and enhancing their products visibility. The group was further supported on how to fully leverage on their PGS certificate to enhance consumer trust, expand their market access and get premium prices
On 17 March 2026, a one-day refresher training session for multipliers trained under the KCOA project was conducted by @RwandaRoam and facilitated by master trainers.
The training focused on updating participants’ skills in agroecology and organic agriculture practices, specifically in integrated soil fertility management, integrated pest and disease management, the organic guarantee system, and the marketing of organic products.
The training strengthened the knowledge and skills of the multipliers, enabling them to effectively conduct farmer trainings and disseminate information within their respective farmer groups and cooperatives

On 19 March 2026, farmers gathered for an exciting Farmer Market Day under the theme “Know What You Eat.”
The purpose of the event was to allow farmers to showcase fresh organic products from cooperatives and PGS groups, connect farmers to consumers in Kigali, and sensitize consumers to be conscious of what they eat.

Today on 19th March 2026,ROAM attended a meeting at IFAD office in Rwanda together with other project partners ( Rwanda Nuts, NAEB/PSAC team for an introduction session but also strategize for collaboration to implement the Enhanced Linkages between Private sector and Small-scale Producers project (ELPS).
ROAM was pleased to host a group of women farmers and agriculture investors from North America.
The discussion focused on exploring market opportunities and challenges in Rwanda’s organic agriculture sector, as well as strengthening connections with key stakeholders.
From seed to sale. Rwandan farmers and traders are proving agroecology works in restoring soil, feeding communities, and opening cross-border markets.

Soil is not just dirt — it’s a living ecosystem and the foundation of agroecology. But today, soil health is threatened by degradation, chemical overuse, and climate change.
Agroecology offers a pathway to restore balance
La Ferme du Lac (Humura Agroecological Center), the @RwandaRoam associate partner, don't just teach Kirwa Primary students about agroforestry. They learn the importance behind: restoring the soil, producing food, protection of the environment and generating income to communities. 600 avocado seedlings were distributed to these young agents of change.
