I think people fail to realize Pokémon's designs SCREAM their types most of the time, and Sonic doesn't ressemble either Flying or Ground type, he's just related (?) to those elements. They have their reasons, but doesn't blend well with how Pokémon works.

Another one I have is that I hate how Shadow’s somewhat playful nature is just gone now because it gives his character some spice. This is not “fanon”shit. It’s literally how he was portrayed in SA2 and Sonic Heroes.
