@MrAdrielG@Starhermits I never knew it lasted the whole fight, I only ever used it on the final attack, and only if I was full health lol. Maybe I won't get stuck for days on my next attempt
@crazyBmonkey@TheBatBroYo@NotSnakeONaked This doesn't necessarily graft perfectly onto western politics because the 'leftwing' parties have been effectively captured by corporate and pro-war interests, but there is a difference between values and political parties
@crazyBmonkey@TheBatBroYo@NotSnakeONaked Themes can be political without explicitly relating to electoralism. The status quo in xb3 is a forever war sold on patriotism that benefits the rich and powerful. This would classically be considered a 'leftwing' viewpoint
@SolidariteCivil@SorrowOfGamer@disrupthehuman Insisting that birds aren't dinosaurs because of colloquial usage is an equivalent to insisting that "Fly" can't be used in that way though. You're arguing that language can have multiple meanings in defense of people insisting that a colloquialism negates scientific evidence.
@Ed_of_O@fedginator@maxtmcc You're misreading that, reptiles and archosaurs are a rhombus and square situation. The passage is just explaining that some people still don't consider birds reptiles even tho modern science does.
@Boi_die@doggygoth It definitely predates AI and the franchise getting invaded by finance bros, it's been an idea among some fans since at least xy came out
@Boi_die@doggygoth It's always felt more to me like people want to play the anime or have a casual version of bw2 world cup. Best version I've heard is a soft reset each region because gyms are level capped, but you still technically have access to your previous box.
@SadClownTimes@melinoesfrog Personally I did a lot of the fun run ideas during early access, so the ending felt like one of the last things I had to do. Mostly just do challenge runs if I'm in the mood now
@MoxieBoosted Category moves like sound, contact, powder, etc. Should just have some type of clear label in pokemon summaries since there are additional mechanics related to them.
@Sharkmare@RosaNagashi Also, to be clear, I'm not trying to argue in favor of grinding or against rare candies in nuzlockes. I was just saying that I think you're intended to be under leveled in the older games, and that doesn't feel like the case in the newer ones.
@Sharkmare@RosaNagashi To be fair, I have been intentionally under leveling since gen 7, so if they've gotten better at balancing modern exp share I probably wouldn't have noticed. I just still don't have much trouble, so I'm assuming they haven't
@Sharkmare@RosaNagashi There are some well designed fights in both eras to be fair. The final boss of S/V is really fun since you don't know the types imo.
Personally, I just rotate like 12-15 pokemon to avoid feeling over leveled, so it's not a huge issue.
@Sharkmare@RosaNagashi I don't really think pokemon has gotten much better at making fights more well designed tho. The 'difficulty' in older games being that you're under leveled is boring, but it was a source of difficulty while i feel that the new games don't often have any.
