Did you know the Southern Baptist Convention will only be hosted 1 time in the Deep South over the next 10 years?
Willy Rice is spot on - we need to ask for a change to the convention schedule from the convention floor
The majority of years need to be where the majority of people are so we can best represent our local churches!
"This is not a political abstraction for me. I know exactly what these procedures take from a child, because they took it from me." Detransitioner @ChloeCole joined Home Depot's shareholder meeting to ask whether the public should trust the company with their children given their policies on transitioning kids. Excellent read here. Also: look for the @MorningWire interview with Chloe coming this weekend.

'CONSERVATIVE' GROUP DEFENDING SPLC?🤔
Today, Society for the Rule of Law moved to file an amicus brief in U.S. v. SPLC, suggesting the DOJ engaged in vindictive prosecution. I can't help but wonder, what sort of conservative group takes the SPLC's side?

Next week in Orlando, Southern Baptists will vote for a new SBC President, either @WillyRice or @JoshuaWPowell.
If you wonder what the differences are, here's a quick comparison.
The SPLC stands accused of funding KKK activities, propping up the hate it claims to exist to oppose. It also routinely demonizes mainstream conservatives and Christians, as I explained on the @charliekirk11 show with @AndrewKolvet and @BlakeSNeff

When I was 22 years old, freshly out of college, I found myself across the world on @rhett_burns couch.
He was tasked with taking me to an unreached people group just north of the Iraqi border. At that time, the area was a war zone. I was anxious and didn’t know Rhett.
Rhett led us from village to village, shop to shop, on and off of motorcycles, and did it with a Spirit-filled trust. Everywhere we went Rhett prayed and shared the gospel. He was a great example to me of a man rooted in the Sovereignty of God and filled with the Spirit. He is the epitome of an SBC pastor who loves the church, our convention, and the great commission.
His words and endorsement matters . If you’ll be in Orlando, give this a read.
I believe @WillyRice has his eyes on the Lord and his hand on the pulse of our Convention.
With convictional clarity, relational connections, and personal kindness, he's a modern-day "son of Issachar" who understands the times and knows what God's people should do.
‼️Today, Netflix holds its annual meeting. There's a proposal on the ballot you need to know about. ⏬
After numerous politicized incidents and a *tremendous* amount of controversy over the company's choice to market sexualized media content toward children (highlighted in criticism from @elonmusk and @libsoftiktok), the company is facing a proposal on its ballot asking for a risk assessment of these practices. It's been a rocky road to get there. To date, Netflix has:
🔴 Canceled a meeting with us to discuss shareholder concerns the day we wrote a piece about the issue in @TheHill (read below)
🔴 In its opposition to our proposal, asserted that its "branding and marketing strategies... are integral to its business model" without explaining how marketing sexualized content to children might... hurt that business model.
🔴 Provided zero substantive response to shareholder concerns about promoting highly controversial narratives surrounding gender ideology and sexual activity to young audiences.
Netflix is choosing to cancel meetings and ignore shareholder concerns about marketing content with gender ideology to children of all ages. This proposal about Netflix will be voted on at the company's annual meeting later today. How will you be voting on it?

Rarely do you hear well known pastors admit they were wrong. Willie Rice has publicly admitted he made mistakes at the height of the woke-revolution. Since then, Willie has sought to counteract the leftward drift within the SBC. Willie is the kind of leader the SBC needs to help restore trust in our cooperative efforts. I fully endorse Willie Rice to be the next president of the SBC.
I appreciate this piece from @rhett_burns on why, as a SC pastor, he will be voting for @WillyRice to serve as president of the Southern Baptist Convention.
"Keeping your foot on the gas while the Check Engine light flashes is a good way to ruin the motor."
The SBC is in decline. But decline is not inevitable; it is a choice.
So is renewal. And renewal requires courageous leaders willing to both tell the truth & offer real solutions
That's why SC pastor @rhett_burns is voting for @WillyRice next week.

South Carolina pastor Rhett Burns is supporting Florida’s Willy Rice for SBC president over Josh Powell from his own state
This article is a must-read for anyone attending the SBC next week, especially for undecided voters
@WillyRice has shown unparalleled humility in the SBC by admitting past mistakes, courage by diagnosing current challenges honestly, and wisdom by offering practical solutions, all while maintaining a joyful spirit and a clear focus on the Great Commission
Josh Powell is a friend & pastors 20 minutes across town. I’d love to vote for him for SBC president one day.
And that’s why I’m voting for @WillyRice next Tuesday.

There’s a major disconnect between Rainer’s poll and the fact that SBC messengers vote out churches with female pastors at a rate of about 90% on every vote.
