Personal update: I've joined Anthropic. I think the next few years at the frontier of LLMs will be especially formative. I am very excited to join the team here and get back to R&D. I remain deeply passionate about education and plan to resume my work on it in time.
@ID_AA_Carmack@kiaran_ritchie Rocky was such a pleasant surprise in the book. A bit unfortunate that surprise wasn’t saved for movie audiences but it would be hard to market without him.
@MUKIDEZA2 Shit posting is a meme culture here. We also joke that it can be someone’s full time job.
They don’t post anything of value but sometimes they make you laugh.
@Tanukichi_mingo Only in certain contexts (taxes, politics, crowded, housing prices) Otherwise people love the weather, beaches, food, nature, culture, marijuana, job market, etc.
@pika_nekopanda Not quite but people do raise their hand when crossing at crosswalks in front of cars. It is an acknowledgement of “thanks I know I’m slow”.
@yamanakanobody We also have a concept of horseshoe left and right. They go too far in one direction they end up agreeing with their opponents. This usually takes the form of hating the country.
Do you all have this in your discourse?
