King County EMS COVID-19 Lesson Learned:
For suspected infectious cases, send one member as a scout wearing mask, eye pro, & gloves. Standing 6' away, the scout determines if the rest of the crew is needed. This reduces crew exposure and saves PPE. @SayreMR@andymccoymd
Support the #HeroesNeedMasks campaign. Anyone with PPE supplies in the community - dental offices, academic labs, private citizens - please donate gloves, masks, gowns, and eye protection to frontline healthcare workers. Your first responders have some of the highest risk!

ECG machine is unreliable even for STEMI: up to 40% false positive rate and up to 42% false negative rate in diagnosing STEMI (Schlapfer & Wellens, JACC 2017) #ACEP18
Here's a thought: Push pressor epi for pediatric cardiac arrest. After the Paramedic2 trial it's clear that late epinephrine is worthless (avg time to epi was >21 min). But why are we giving lethal doses of epi to begin with? Let's reconsider before we abandon epi altogether.
"If #CPR or #defibrillation is not given within about five minutes, the chances of survival are dismal, regardless of the age," said Dr. Stephen Kuehn, interventional cardiologist with @CoxHealth. https://t.co/fxNWP6qf6y
