Therefore God has highly exalted him & bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, & every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father —Phil. 2:9-11
God treated Christ on the cross as if He were us—forsaken as a curse—so that He could treat us as if we were His Son.
For this reason, there is salvation in no one else. No other name. For there is no other atonement. There is only Christ and Him crucified.
New year. Same Jesus, forever faithful and full of mercy and love.
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” — Lam. 3:22-23

🧵: In light of the tragic events regarding Charlie Kirk’s passing, words fail to describe the darknessof days, and situations like what we’ve witnessed. The murder of a Christian man in broad daylight in front of 1000s (the whole world) for boldly standing on his convictions.
4) we need to pray — of course for the Kirk family, and we need to ask the King of Kings to bring renewal+revival among the hearts of people here & all around the world. If we really believe that Jesus is Lord, then let’s go to Him and ask Him to lavish us afresh with mercy+grace
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith””
Rom. 1:16-17
When politics become the religion of our culture, people who disagree are devils. You lose compassion, basic human dignity and respect all because of disagreement and difference in thought. There’s only division, not human flourishing. Politics makes for a terrible savior.
His faith has become sight. His preaching, biblical conviction, courage, investment into pastors, and writings will continue to help the church moving forward. Though this is sad news for us, John is joyfully now face to face with Jesus Christ. Thankful to God for John MacArthur.
Our hearts are heavy, yet rejoicing, as we share the news that our beloved pastor and teacher John MacArthur has entered into the presence of the Savior. This evening, his faith became sight. He faithfully endured until his race was run.
2 Timothy 4:1-8
“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” — Jesus (John 5:24)
“In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” — 1 John 4:9-10
