Curling Canada will be hosting a Competition Ice Technician course in Cochrane, Alberta on November 10-12, 2025.

This new 3-day pilot course is for Certified Head Curling Ice Technicians who want to learn more about creating competition conditions for Club Championship Events being held in their curling centre and province/territory.

Ice Technicians who meet the pre-requisites have until September 12 at 9 a.m. ET to submit applications to Curling Canada.

The 2024–2025 season saw a surge in Ice Technician education events across Canada! 🇨🇦

Thanks to the incredible work of our Provincial/Territorial Member Associations, training and certification courses were hosted from coast to coast!

📊 By the numbers:

✅ 19 Assistant Ice Technician courses – 193 participants
✅ 8 Head Ice Technician courses – 73 participants
✅ 1 Competition Ice Technician course – 25 participants
🧊 Total: 28 courses | 291 trained Ice Technicians

👏 A huge thank you to everyone helping create world-class ice conditions for curlers playing in the club all the way up to arena championships!
