The British Timken factory that once stood in Duston Village. Famous for manufacturing Tapered roller Bearings and employing many locals shortly after WW2. Long demolished and a housing estate now stands on the old footprint.

We were pleased to give Margret Edwards (right) the Honorary Freedom of Duston this week. A local teacher and school governor for many years. Best know for leading the campaign to save St Luke’s Lower School & Field from development. It was a 10 year campaign.
Today we held a 105th Birthday Party for local resident Jack (a WWII veteran) at Duston Community Centre. Here is the Chair of Duston Parish Council, Cllr Jan Ennis-Clark, wishing Jack a happy birthday.
