Toxicity in the pro am community caused the game mode to be removed? But someone can load in a random rec game and go AFK, stand out of bounds, get O/D 3 seconds, intentionally not pass and ruin the game for 4 other ppl but they refuse to implement a system that punishes those ppl. We also have cheaters.........

People making money playing a video game isn't new. There's literally independent tournaments for almost every game on the market. TBH the pro am community probably spends close to the most money on VC on the Mycarreer side of 2k, dudes will make 7 different builds that are barely different bc they believe their builds are the problem and not and not the user. All that in hopes of winning a $500 pot split 5/7 ways and required 4-6 hours of time

Just call it what it is, 2k wanted to implement a new system (crew HQ) just like they did with proving grounds in 2k25, they knew if they left pro am in the game, no one would play their precious new addition, so they removed pro am and 5v5 proving grounds.

Calling it right now, they will use "the return of pro am" as a way to promote 2k28

Ive echoed this sentiment that pro am is not as big especially leagues as everyone thinks it is. Its a very small percentage of people who are consistently committed to it each and every year. Then add in the toxicity and the money people make off it legitimately and non legitimately. Look i love pro am and I was looking forward to making videos off it but from a business perspective I do get why they did it. Right or wrong. Its simply not a need for 2k to keep.

So if they remove areas of the game where they cant control the toxicity then:

-2k25 cashout and enzo making 60 overall black plates to beat up on noobs in theater, they didnt remove theater

-Zenners in every park, just tune into one @JoeKnowsYT stream and you will see him play one, they haven't removed park

Maybe if they shared their plan with the community or even the creators at community day then there wouldn't be this must push back.

Lets be honest, once the rep race is over, cashout and all those guys will quit and leave until next year. When the new shine wears off this game in season 2, tons off ppl will quit (especially with GTA coming out), but what historically keeps the communities interest later in the 2k life cycle is high level 5v5 ball, and the easiest method of producing that content has been removed.

I never said there weren't other forms of toxicity. But as i said before. 2k couldnt control those forms inside of pro am thanks to the way leagues and discords worked. In Siba for instance u would get banned just for asking a question. You cant bring out the TOS they did and still have the most toxic part of the game running freely. And yeah. Billybob3585 quitting games is easier to ban him an hour or 2 if he does it a few times. There is no guarantee they bring pro am back just like there was no warning theyd destroy it coming into 2k27. I have a hard time believing they bring it back. They have a plan and my belief is that plan is not simply 1 year.

Tutes did a pass acc rating test. Pass acc matters more but fast break passes specifically still have variables in them. I know 2k did this on purpose. This is a byproduct of taking pro am away. Where fast breaks are king. Your pass accuracy short of 99 doesn't matter this year. You might as well throw it to the middle to your guard and run the break properly like they do in the real NBA. #NBA2k27

@Thebrothajones This happens if you lag out of a game, once the game you quit/lagged out ends, then the game issues the ban.

So if you quit out a rec game in the 2nd quarter, it’ll take 15-20 to receive the ban

How to make 2k27 a Good Game

- Leave Defense how it is
- Close the green window on Contested jumpers
-Massive green window on all open shots
- Fix Rebounds
- Fix the Slips after a screen

This is the biggest issue with SBMM

it forces everyone into a meta, in 5 weeks everyone gonna be on the same build with same sigs bc you're punished for developing skill in this game

i also feel bad for content creators that wanna try unique builds for videos bc now the plate color transfers between build so you dont get any easy PVP lab time now
