“Code Art” is a digital drawing that draws itself on a screen. Check out how @timneedles brings STEM to his art classes with code https://t.co/VxqQ3lODny #csforMI#STEAM#stemeducation
@covili A3 our school went through a culture shift a few years ago. A daring SBO showed how cool school spirit is. In a way they rebranded our school changing the culture. Ts got excited & we carry it on by talking with Ss more about their involvement. #utedchat
@covili A2 - I have Ss make something with paper or junk or tinfoil as a sculpture or to solve a problem. They work in teams of two and play/experiment with options. I focus on the fun this is to encourage risk taking. #utedchat
#ThoughtForTheDay When we don’t get the results that we wanted, rather than blame others, we should always look internally first & ask ourselves how we may have contributed to the problem. #Culturize
Today’s Lesson Plan
1- Get my students to smile.
2- Get students laughing.
3- Have some fun.
4- Build some relationships.
... oh yea, and teach some content

Lemme' get this straight:
🏀 Ray Allen makes 40% of his *career* 3 pointers and is inducted into the hall of fame.
🏫 BUT, Frank gets 50% of the points in his class and it's an "F."
⁉️ So, maybe the points & percentages we often use in schools are a bit arbitrary?

“A student raised on love and a student raised on survival see the world in a very different way.”
Powerful quote shared by Dr. Sherri Southerland during today’s Educator Summit.
I've been sharing this amazing picture on Zoom class visits — kids remote learning during a polio outbreak in the 1940s. Schools shut and teachers read lessons on the RADIO. We're facing such challenges today, but as I tell kids, we've faced them in the past and gotten through.
a3 I think that teachers need a mentor who will help them understand how to make the most of the education system in Utah. While we need help with curriculum, management, etc. we also need someone to help you navigate being a professional. #utedchat
