I called this exact ARC Raiders feature two weeks ago, and Salty is finally giving me my flowers. Like and follow if you think the devs are secretly listening to the podcast.
Its been a while and honestly it feels good to share this. Some exciting new dropped today about our first love on the channel and we had to talk about. Join us for a brand new edition of the Salt Divers Podcast.
Link in the next post. Enjoy.
@TheShagsworth Probably not. That doesn’t change the fact that it isn’t resonating with a massive number of people who would normally be playing this type of game. Seems like it was doomed from the get go.
Bungie might have officially missed the mark with Marathon, leaving Sony in an incredibly tight spot after expecting massive profits. The current player counts are looking rough, matching the data of a dead six-year-old title. Personally, I do not know if I have it in me to push through a massive learning curve just to have basic fun, and the community seems to agree. Watch the breakdown and drop your thoughts below.
I am not trying to go out, build a house, or manually count every single round into my magazine just to play a video game. Arc Raiders is looking like the everyman's extraction shooter we actually need right now. Do you prefer hardcore realism or pure, unfiltered fun?
Salty and I are checking out the massive new Conan Exiles update, and honestly, the revamped UI and crafting are actually great. Too bad I spent most of my time getting absolutely obliterated by a giant turtle.
Lots of words here. What we want to see is the execution, which has frankly, been the problem all along. You can have a ton of cool stuff. Doesn’t matter if it’s all bugged and glitched out. I’m willing to
Come back though. Guess we will find out.
Attention, Helldivers! Today we're sharing a transmission from the Game Director regarding the future of community and player progression.

Salty is out here losing his mind over Subnautica, and I am desperately trying to be the voice of reason. The devs literally admitted the map isn't even finished yet, but he is still about to pay for the privilege of being a beta tester. Check out the clip to see his final apology, and let me know in the comments if you are the type of gamer who always gives in to early access hype.
Are physical games officially dead? Salty is playing Black Flag on his 360 with zero internet required, while modern gaming forces a 60GB download for a brand-new disc. Tell me your thoughts below.
Arrowhead is out here writing more letters saying they will be better with Helldivers 2, but Salty and I are completely checked out. It is literally like an ex who won't stop texting you after you already moved on. Drop a comment if you are done with the drama too.
Its been a couple days. I got that itch. LETS GO!

One of Arrowhead's biggest fans (or employee) is out here fighting for his life defending Helldivers2, and I couldn't help but call out the absolute corporate glaze. Is the Helldivers 2 community actually ungrateful, or are we getting stealth nerfed? Let me know what you think in the comments.
Is the live service model officially dying, or are developers just delusional? Salty brings up a great point in this clip about how games like Helldivers and Arc Raiders are trying to force a 10-year lifespan on players. I just don't think these games have the core gameplay loop to keep people hooked for that long, and we are already seeing the cracks.
