Europa is echt niet meer te herstellen voor deze generatie. Het gaat exponentieel achteruit. Eerst merken we niks en dan ineens is alles kapot. Amerikanen hebben inmiddels bijna 2x zoveel te besteden als ons.
Ongeveer alle andere continenten groeien harder dan Europa.
En de belangrijkste katalysator voor snelle groei is goedkope stroom (AI). En dat is iets dat we al helemaal niet hebben, en als we het hebben kan ons netwerk het niet aan. We zitten compleet klem komende (tientallen) jaren.
Wat we wel hebben is veel migratie. Migratie die ons netto meer kost dan oplevert. We halen dus iets binnen dat ons alleen maar meer geld gaat kosten.
We zijn getuige van de ineenstorting van het socialisme. De hele wereld aanschouwt het van een afstandje en snapt niet dat we het zelf niet door hebben.

Beware the empathy exploit.

Empathy is good and right when thought through (deep), but can be deadly to civilization when simply stimulus-response (shallow).

For example, releasing a repeat violent offender may feel good at first (shallow empathy for the criminal), but it is wrong to do so when that person will go on to hurt or murder innocent victims, as there should be deep empathy for future victims.
