I want to congratulate @goerdt_ Cooper Goerdt on becoming the new Melrose Varsity Boy’s Golf coach. Cooper is a great person and I have all the confidence in the world that he will do a great job. The kids are lucky to have him on board. Good luck, Cooper!!
Fun day yesterday at The Legacy course in Brainerd. Team finished 11th out of 18 teams. Course was in great condition and the pin placements were crazy tough. The Dutchmen were led by Logan Schad (79) and Eddie Dickhaus (85). On to Sections next Monday!
Boys had a HUGE day at Eagles Landing golf course in Little Falls today. Great team effort as we placed 5th out of 10 tough teams with a score of 349. All golfers scored under 100 which is a big deal considering are youth.
Last conference meet today. Exceeded expectations by placing 4th out of 8 teams for the year. Eddie Dickhaus fired a 46 today. Logan Schad earned All Conference for the 2nd straight year with an 8 meet scoring average of 39.3. We’re a very young team with a bright future!
Great day on the course today. The boys took 4th out of 8 teams in the tough West Central Conference with a score of 355. The team was led by Logan Schad, who shot 74. That score was good for 2nd place out of 56 golfers. On to Montevideo, Friday!
Finished 6th out of 10 in the Sauk Centre Invitational yesterday. Wind, cold and rain drove scores up for everyone. Logan Schad carded an 86 and Maverick Kulzer had a nice day with a 92, Eddie Dickhaus a 97 and Blake Tomford with a 100.
We had a nice day today in our first conference meet. We took 3rd out of 8 conference teams. The team was led by Logan Schad (80), Maverick Kulzer (86) along with Eddie Dickhaus and Kaleb Frieler both with 88’s. Team total was 342. Great first day!
The snow is gone and the sun is out. It’s FINALLY here! We travel to Tipsinah Mounds in Elbow Lake for our first conference meet of the year. It’s been a long month golfing inside. Let’s go fellas. Enjoy the day!

Our season comes to an end today at day 1 of sections. Special shout-out to our only senior Nick Gilk. Great person with a bright future. The younger guys will work hard this summer.
Our last regular season event was at Craguns Resort this afternoon. The guys found a few too many "penalty areas" but I was proud of the way they finished. On to the postseason....
