A significant moment as the Hon’ble Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh, formally launches two key initiatives: the India BioEconomy Report 2025 and BioSAARTHI.
The India BioEconomy Report 2025 offers an in-depth analysis of India’s bioeconomy, providing strategic insights to foster growth and development in this crucial sector. Additionally, BioSAARTHI will serve as a vital platform to support biotech startups, enhancing their capacity to thrive in both domestic and international markets.
This launch marks the beginning of a new chapter in India’s bioeconomy, underscoring the nation’s commitment to innovation and sustainable development.

Had a great conversation with my friend, President @realDonaldTrump, congratulating him on his spectacular victory. Looking forward to working closely together once again to further strengthen India-US relations across technology, defence, energy, space and several other sectors.
In research, results matter. But if we want to get rigorous results, we need ways to focus on the process rather than outcomes.
We need reward structures that recognize choosing the best experiment and running it in the best way, even when it doesn't give the expected outcome.
@academic_exit 1. Network..Network..Network!!
2. Identifying Transferable skills
3. Broaden the job search based on skillsets & future aspirations/new things to learn
Being rigorous about science does not mean we have to be cruel in how we interact as scientists.
Sadly, there are people who are cruel without ever being rigorous.
Encouragingly, there are people who are kind while also being rigorous.
We can each choose how we treat others.
@academic_exit It is necessary to list down transferable skills, earned during PhD & pitch to employer about your experience on those relevant skills along with troubleshooting! Not necessarily employers are looking for how many papers you had published, rather softskills become more important!
Dr Manish Diwan, Head - Strategy, Partnership and Entrepreneurship Development, BIRAC highlighted the need to support entrepreneurs developing R&D intensive startups. He shared about the key role that sectors like bio-technology play in supporting the innovation development
In 2019, Morteza Mahmoudi co-founded the Academic Parity Movement. Their ultimate goal is to bring an end to bullying and harassment in academia https://t.co/fVpsQVa1Tj
I wish someday at least the majority of PI (Faculty) would understand this and can listen to their mentees about their career aspirations, rather than fulfilling their own academic endeavors with them!
#phdlife#careerdevelopment#mentorship
Faculty who think the only valid career option is staying in academia are not only cheating their students out of the amazing diversity of career paths that exist, but also cheating themselves out of the chance to celebrate their mentees when they find their unique career path.
Great communication starts with listening.
Whether you literally ask a question and listen to the answer or seek out other cues, what you need to figure out is:
What does my audience already know about this topic, and what is most important for me to convey?
