see, regular people say “we broke up” but taylor swift says “we hereby conduct this post-mortem, he was a hot house flower to my outdoorsman. our maladies were such we could not cure them and so a touch that was my birthright became foreign” and THIS is why she is god
Imagine hearing her say the men she dated never saw her as a person and still somehow feeling like they were the ones that got away. Bitch, she almost lost her fucking mind trying to scale down her life for losers with fragile masculinity and bruised ego
You should never be expected to be the bigger person when you didn’t create the discomfort in the first place. Too many people cause the chaos, cross the line, then want you to swallow your feelings just to keep the peace. Nah. Accountability matters. Being mature doesn’t mean accepting disrespect or cleaning up messes you didn’t make. Sometimes protecting your peace means standing firm and letting folks sit in the consequences of what they caused.
Having a naturally intimidating aura is so exhausting. people will go to the wildest extremes to humble you or compete with you meanwhile you’re literally just trying to exist.
WHAT NOT TO CARRY INTO 2026
1. The version of you who lived in survival mode.
2. People who make you feel hard to love.
3. Doubt that drowns your confidence.
4. Shame for things you've already healed from.
5. Pressure to have everything figured out.
6. Excuses for someone else's behavior.
7. Spaces where your heart never felt safe.
8. People who only love the easy parts of you.
9. The belief that you have to earn being chosen.
10. The version of you who settled because you were scared.
11. The story you've outgrown but keep rereading.
i'm a type C girl...
- i can deep clean the whole house. or ignore a laundry pile for days.
- i can give a motivational pep talk, or need one myself.
- i can be 20 mins early or walk in 20 mins late.
- i can go to bed at 8pm, or scroll reels until the sun comes up.
my therapist said “people who struggle with anxiety & depression can't remember a lot, bc they're too busy focusing on how to get through each moment so they don t actually experience what is happening to them, causing them to not form the memory they were supposed to” felt that.
