@vsljgldkv I would strongly disagree. Injuries inevitably will happen. I think the issue is about contextualizing the data to the coaches to why we are doing it and will it keep players healthier but external projects to try and be cool in the industry is the problem here.
If you are a pro org or fed that is just warehousing data to use it as a science project.
You are forgetting the key functionality of why we use data. To keep athletes fit & to win matches by keeping athletes fit.
Cool science projects are obsolete if you cant do the above!
A really interesting development in US College Sports.
The @NCAA have published new recommendations on performance technology, giving schools a road map around policy, data management and responsible use.
Whose data is being tracked?
Who owns the data?
Where is it stored?
Who has access to it?
How is it being shared?
One of the more practical challenges in collegiate sports is managing athlete data across multiple sports, squads, year groups, and disciplines - often across entirely different coaching and medical staff.
Our technology Sonra Cloud and its architecture was built for exactly this. A single program can manage multiple teams within one platform.
Players move between squads without duplication of profiles, meaning longitudinal data follows the athlete across their entire collegiate career.
The image below gives you an idea of how the architecture works.
You collect data. Now what?
Context shapes interpretation. Culture determines whether coaches act on insights. Communication strategies either build trust or create resistance.
Join Andy Edwards (South African Rugby), Tyrell Brown (previously TCU), and Ben Ryan (Brentford FC) as they discuss how performance data moves beyond dashboards into daily coaching practice.
The panel shares real-world examples: managing congestion, return-to-play decisions, and aligning with head coaches. Honest discussion on common pitfalls. Practical frameworks for turning tracking data into training adjustments.

Over the past decade, TCU have established themselves as one of the more consistent NFL athlete production lines in college football.
As a program, they now lead the Big 12 in NFL representation, with over 30 former players in and around league rosters - up from roughly a dozen ten years ago.
Credit to Tyrell Brown & team, who continue to raise the standard of athlete development within the program - something we’ve witnessed first-hand in how they use our system and as highlighted in the video below.
Best of luck to the Horned Frogs as they close out the season against USC in the Alamo Bowl tonight.
Massive upset for @Cuse_MBB knocking off #13 Tennessee. First time it’s happened since 1993.
Shoutout to Head Coach Red Autry plus Mike Mangano and Andrew LeRock on the performance side - the work behind the curtain!
It’s Syracuse’s first season using STATSports technology, giving the staff better visibility on player fatigue through Dynamic Stress Load and our conductive heart-rate vests.
Excited to announce our partnership with @statsports! Been instrumental in driving real-time decision making in both offseason preparation and in season load management to optimize our performance. These insights help us manipulate practice volume/intensity to mimic game demands.
Our next generation hardware suite that makes it all possible.

Last year this was asked by our partners to be added to the Nxt Gen units so NFL/College Football teams can have the units in the pads a day before GameDay so they are not rushing to get them turned on and placed into the pads. Additionally helping other sports
So we listened 🫡
As per, time is of the essence for high performance practitioners. So we added a new Auto Start-Up Scheduler function within Sonra.
No more manual switch-on for ~70 players. You can save yourself up to 3-6 hours work per week by just auto-scheduling the units.
See examples.
