Bryant scored a total of 2,883 points during his high school career, ending the campaign as Southeastern Pennsylvania's all-time leading scorer and surpassing prep greats such as Wilt Chamberlain and Lionel Simmons in the process.
To begin, we will honor the legacy of Philadelphia Native Kobe Bryant. Kobe played high school ball at Lower Merion. In Bryant's junior season, he averaged 31.1 points per game, adding 10.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists. He was named Pennsylvania Player of the Year in the process.
As we celebrate Black History Month and prepare for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, our theme for the month is "Legendary Black Athletes". Throughout the month we will spotlight various Athletes and the contributions they've made to sports.
@BEN_Comcast enjoyed our 2nd year partnering with @CityYearPhilly to mentor young men in our "How to Tie a Tie" event. The students learned a new skill, and we had the privilege to instill some knowledge into our future young leaders!
