We are proud to announce we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT PAL Indonesia, the country's leading state-owned shipbuilder, establishing a framework for cooperation on the future modernization program of the Indonesian Navy’s KRI SRIWIJAYA (former Giuseppe Garibaldi).
With this agreement, signed in Jakarta by our VP Sales of Naval Vessels Division Mauro Manzini, and Djenod Kaharuddin, President Director of PT PAL Indonesia, we will collaborate on the vessel’s modernization program, combining our respective expertise and jointly defining the scope of activities and responsibilities within the cooperation.
The program is intended to maximize the vessel’s operational effectiveness across a broad range of missions, from defense and maritime security operations to humanitarian assistance and emergency response activities, while supporting the long-term capability development objectives of the Indonesian Navy.
A commitment built on the long-standing experience in the naval sector of the two companies, creating opportunities for broader industrial cooperation between Italy and Indonesia, including the involvement of leading industrial players and technology partners from both countries, confirming our vision of a more innovative future based on collaboration and sharing.
