According to Pew Research Center, the global Orthodox Christian population has more than doubled over the past century, now standing at approximately 260 million worldwide.
Russia has the largest Orthodox population on earth, with more than 100 million faithful, followed by Ukraine, Romania, Greece, Ethiopia, and Belarus. Greece and Romania remain among the most observant Orthodox countries, with over 80 percent of their populations identifying as Orthodox Christian.
