Couldn't be more proud of the team. This experience has taught me so much, not only code-wise, but just about being a SWE in general. I think I'll do a post about that soon, so stay tuned.
But most importantly, BuQL Up!
The moment we've all been waiting for:
BuQL up, because WE'VE LAUNCHED!
BuQL is the harmonizing of Bun and GraphQL into one easy-to-use npm package, with ioredis included for the most optimal query response times.

Sometimes, with adhd, you obsess over things like optimizing one of the most trivial leetcode problems to the maximum and writing about it.
On a completely unrelated note, here's a new Medium article I just posted: https://t.co/nVglqYza2o
I've heard the debate before of whether innovation is spurred on more by competition or collaboration. Kubernetes is a great story of how both play crucial roles.

superbowl portal on X was powered by @bunjavascript backend. reached ~800k concurrent users on the page and we realized we underestimated how good bun is; utilized only 10% of the cpus we allocated
I'm not an eagles fan, but glad to see these guys win it, especially Saquon.
Also, "I had a purpose before everyone had an opinion," is a phenomenal quote.
OpenAI just dropped o3-mini and it’s insane!
It's their fastest, smartest, and most cost-effective reasoning model yet and people are going absolutely crazy over it.

Got to hang out at the monthly AJS meetup and it was great! Informative talks given, one of which was improvised on the spot, and new connections made. Stoked for next month 🤙🏻
It's a shame that TJ doesn't get more views, he deserves them.
I needed this reminder. As a jobless SWE, it feels like there's so much pressure to learn everything. Every JD has something. How about I take a radical step: learn what I WANT to learn.

I always love these videos from the bun team! I'm specifically excited about the PostgreSQL integration; I was in the process of getting Postgres set up on the website I'm working on, but now I can just use what's built in. Stoked

And by that I mean two things. 1. Wow, this code that seemed complicated wasn't as bad as I thought at the time, and 2. No wonder I had a hard time with it, this code was CHAOS. My team had such a horrible file structure. Oh well, yesterday's critiques are tomorrow's skill set!
Had a great call with a semi-mentor of mine today revisiting some old code that I wrote. He described it very well: "It's like when you walk back into your elementary school as an adult and everything feels so much smaller than you remember."
