After 11+ years of ministry experience, 6 as a pastor, this week I started a pastoral internship.
Local churches in my denomination aren't hiring pastors. As a person called to church ministry, I could wait, or I could take a different position. I chose the latter.

So I work as a casual lunchtime monitor for our local school board and today was my first shift this school year (without masks).
It was so nice to see the kids smiles, but it really sucked to have them cough directly into my face. . . #Kindergarten #TeachersAreTheRealMVPs

Just finished the limited series #TheChair on Netflix.
Watching the dramatized tensions between the old and new pedagogies and philosophies of education made me wonder what a series on churches and the tensions around old and new discipleship practices might look like.

Interested in running #OnlineSmallGroups but not sure you're "techy" enough to run it.

You don't need to be "enough", you just need to say yes, bring what God's given you and look for who He's bringing alongside you as a compliment.

Yesterday, many churches were without power in my community due to a storm, and churches scrambled to improvise to still go live online. . .

Pastor, it's okay to cancel a church service to invite your church into service.

-began studying how they may relate.

I'll admit - I was here a few years ago.
For me it wasn't fear of where things were evolving, but fear that I couldn't keep up or that I wasn't enough.
Because I didn't know how I could fit into #onlineministry I rejected #digitalministry.
Really glad God's done a work on me.
