@SavagePoker @PokerTDA need to ban phones being used at table at all while sitting down. Headphones might be too hard to ban, but any devices or anything on the rail while cards are being pitched need to be eliminated, and stricter penalties for those who don't follow these rules

A few steps in the right direction would be
1- examining the inner ear of players anywhere someone on the rail could be providing real-time assistance. Chess has started doing this at some major events.
2- fully banning sunglasses. I have no problem with people hiding their eyes at the table, I’m concerned with new age tools that people will be able to access optically in real time.
3- Zero devices allowed on the rail or felt.
4- No rings that aren’t solid metal bands or clear stones.

You keep moving the goal posts. This event doesn't exclude the influential women you mention; it's only a conflict for a tiny tiny subset that largely doesn't play these events anyway. You're analogy would be like getting angry that a $1k ran alongside a $100k bc now Ivey, Dnegs, and Hellmuth are unlikely to support the open event.

I understand fully the point you're attempting to make, which i DO agree with in principle. I just don't think it applies in this case where it's a limiting factor to almost no one.

I think most people dont have a problem with her being a woman. Really good for her to have this opportunity, but what it looks like from the outside is that Fedor has pulled some strings with triton to allow someone who doesn’t usually play highrollers to be +ev herself and Fedor gets an invite. How much pull Fedor has is unknown but she clearly isn’t a full on business woman and hasn’t been in any type of super high roller scene to allow the committee to allow this. Again from the outside im more outraged at triton and Fedor (especially because of the recent gg poker vip stuff, it looks shadier) and not with her at all.

Jfc you’re such a hater. Jesse has won a bunch of tournaments and whether you agree with his skill level or not, has provided himself and his family with a very good life.

Fwiw I think private/reserved games are somewhat necessary for some games where the stakes get too high but there are plenty of bumhunting pros who would play if the game was good enough. Im just more upset that you cant show up to the casino and play high stakes every day like we used to.
